I haven't been able to make any posts in a little while, however I do have an important one this time!
Today, after easily 3 years of fiddling around on this same of riff, telling whoever would hear it that it was the best thing I had ever not-finished-writing-yet, I did, I wrapped it up. Sat in a room for 4 hours straight, and finally managed to find the right words. I always knew it could not be forced, that some day, the right events would trigger the song to take a life of its own. I could not have foreseen said events, but I am glad that at least, this one good thing came out of it.
During this time, I worked a lot on the arrangement ( I had plenty of time!) and cannot wait to start recording this. This comes at a perfect time since I am *BREAKING NEWS* finally buying a new mic. I was gonna go with a small usb-mic to record videos, but I figured I might as well get something a little more high-end that I'll be able to use for my home-studio, and hopefully get some new tracks down soon.
Here's the finished lyric page from my notepad. I know you can't really read most of it, it's intentional. I'll reveal them in full, along with the title, when I post a video of an acoustic version in the near-future.
